Donner Tech Tenere 700 Cockpit Stabilser/ GPS Bracket Black 2024+
The third version of our "Cockpit-Stabilizer" has been adapted to the new dimensions of the cockpit of the Tenere 700 from model year 2024 (colour dash).
Our "Cockpit-Stabilizer" puts an end to the wobbling of the unstable cockpit strut of the Tenere 700.
On bumpy roads, the Tenere 700's cockpit tends to vibrate a lot - especially if a navigation device that is more or less heavy is installed.
The reason for this are the outriggers made of fiberglass-reinforced plastic that hold the aluminum rod and have hardly any torsional rigidity. These are particularly unstable around the yaw axis.
This is exactly where the cockpit stabilizer comes into play by effectively reducing yaw. This is achieved by connecting the stable plastic part (to which the speedometer unit is also screwed) to the cockpit strut and thereby stiffening it.
The vibrations of the speedometer and headlight are also reduced.
It should be noted that the angle of the GPS holder cannot be freely selected when the stabilizer is installed, but must be set parallel to the speedometer unit.
Note/ Clearance to speedo unit will vary depending on device type and size you are attempting to fit to the unit.
The assembly is as easy:
- 2 pieces M6x14 pan head screws connect the navigation mount and the stabilizer
- 1 piece M6x20 pan head screws replace the original screws with which the speedometer unit is attached and connect the lower plastic part, stabilizer and speedometer
Scope of delivery:
"Cockpit-stabilizer" incl. 2 pieces M6x14 and 1 piece M6x20 pan head screws A2 for attachment to the "Basic" GPS bracket
GPS Bracket description
"GPS bracket Basic 11-12" including clamping screws for attachment to the mounting rod of the Tenere 700 (diameter 11.6 mm).
Due to the clamping range of 11 to 12 mm, the holder can also be attached to any suitable mounting rod of other vehicles.
The "GPS bracket Basic 11-12" allows, for example, the mounting of Garmin devices via the M5 thread grid 38x30mm (AMPS).
There are also three clamping points (2x D22 + 1x D28.6mm) for handlebar clamps, freely usable mounting threads M5/M6/M8 and two mounting positions for M8 RAM balls.
The 38x30mm (AMPS) horizontal thread grid also fits various RAM mounts.
Assembly is easy:
- Dismantle the windshield of the Tenere 700 using the four screws
- Attach the two half-shells to the support bar at the desired angle
- Mount the four enclosed screws M5x12 (recommended torque: 6 Nm). Make sure there is an even gap between the half-shells
- Reassemble the windshield
- Attach navigation device - Done!
Scope of delivery:
"GPS bracket Basic 11-12" consisting of two half-shells and four screws DIN 912 A2 M5x12mm.
