The black Alurack top case carrier for the BMW R 1200 RS (2015-2018) is a carrier system consisting of a model-specific mounting kit and an Alurack adapter plate. This carrier enables the attachment of Hepco&Becker top cases or soft luggage and is not suitable for top cases with a universal plastic plate. Each Alurack top case carrier is specially developed for the respective motorbike model in order to blend in harmoniously with the overall appearance of the motorbike. Thanks to its construction from high-quality aluminium in combination with a steel base carrier, the Alurack is characterised by high strength and an elegant appearance. Additional attachment points for luggage straps, for example for attaching luggage rolls, are integrated into the design of the carrier. The Alurack top case carrier has a solid basic construction made of steel and an aluminium carrier plate. The scope of delivery includes the model-specific Alurack top-case carrier, the installation kit and installation instructions. No further adapters are required to attach the top case. This carrier is characterised by a high-quality surface finish and works almost exactly like the Easyrack top case carrier from a technical point of view. The main difference is that the bracket for the top case mount points firmly upwards and cannot be folded up. The model-specific base carrier is identical for both the Easyrack and the Alurack. If you want to use the Hepco&Becker Alu Standard Topcase 35, a special bracket is required instead of the standard Alurack bracket (article number: 700007350 or 700007351). No general type approval (ABE) or registration is required for luggage carriers. The recommended load is 5 kg, and you should observe the model-specific instructions that can be found in the installation instructions supplied and in the motorbike manufacturer's specifications. Please also note that heavy luggage should generally not be transported in the top case, but in the side cases or in a tank bag. The recommended maximum speed with the Alurack top case carrier is 130 km/h. This carrier was developed for the standard condition of the motorbike and has not been tested with accessories such as exhaust systems, licence plate holders or other indicators.
