Replaces the stock bash plate, stock is a 400 gram chunk of plastic which flexes and gives. The Hepco and Becker product is a very solid lump of folded and welded metal. Attaches to existing mount points and additional bracket which serves to provide additional strength and bracing. This is a stand alone product and will complement fitting of engine guards. Very pleased with purchase. Great service from motorcycle adventure products team. Despatched day of purchase.
